Snagged this beauty in clapped out condition and stripped down to the frame. Threw the parts bin at it and having a blast. Low low gearing for the ridiculously steep singletrack in my mountain range. Maybe $900 in this build and pretty happy on the trails riding with all the plastic full squisher crowd. Build highlights-
* Ti Doom bars, titec stem
* Suntour ratchet thumbies on 34/20 double (with requisite Campagnolo dust cover on Shimano cranks)
* Chromag pedals and saddle
* XTR post de-anodized and polished (with some black remaining to let me know where to set the seat to lol), also XTR derailleurs and skewers.
* Surly 1 x 1 triple butted fork, came to me snot green and stripped, clear-coated. CK red headset.
* DT hugi/white industries hubs laced to Velocity Cliffhangers. Tubes still b/c lazy and haven’t flatted yet.
* Mullet avid bb7/xtr braking
* Imported from England (sjs cycles) long ass xt levers for big handed people
* Also I saw blackcap raspberries today and boy oh boy are those yummy

Wow. One of the coolest bikes I’ve seen on this sub! What a rad frame to start from, and that build kit is absolutely sublime. Consider me a big fan of your parts bin and smart wrenching! 🤝
