That’s the B-screw. It adjusts the space between your top/guide derailleur jockey and the largest cog on your casette. Chain should bei on the smallest sprocket in the front and largest cog in the back. For most derailleurs, the space should be about 5 mm

Change gears to your lowest and you’ll see what it’s meant to touch, it’s a limit screw and needs to be set correctly or you’ll chuck your chain into your spokes.

That’s your low limit screw. It blocks the derailleur from hitting the spokes when you’re riding in the biggest sprocket.
It‘s the limit screw for the smallest gear/biggest sprocket. It will touch the marked area when you‘re in first gear. It’s not the B-screw, the B-screw touches the derailleur hanger.
