First trip of the Year – one small for me, a giant for my friend

My first Overnighter this year was only a small trip for me, but a giant for a friend of mine. She's been visiting me and drove 450km in 5 days from Lübeck to Düsseldorf (Germany) on her Trekkingbike. On the 4th day, I went 105km to visit her and go for the last day together.

It was my first time in a shelter and my first time not to do a Bikepacking trip completely alone.
We drove through a big part of the Ruhr-Area, but I've tried to route us not right through the cities. But we came along some really nice Waypoints, like the new made Emscher-Cycleway, the Ship lift Henrichenburg and the Museum of electricity. Also some Coal mines with their big towers were on our way.

It was awesome and I'm totally stoked to visit her next year, by bike, in her hometown 450km away.
