Do yourself a favor and forget about that piece and go spend $30 on a real set of pedals.
Something like OneUp Composites, Deity Deftraps, or PNW Ranges can usually be found for less than $50 and are outstanding pedals.
Pedal dust cap
looks like just an end cap to keep grime out, so it’s not essential. but I agree with the other comment, pick up a good pair of pedals instead. I ride chromag synth which are very reasonably priced
