The rollers on my chain sometimes have some play (can move a bit). My chain checker doesn't indicate chain wear, but it's something I didn't look for on my previous chain and only noticed now.
I don't find much info about it online either, so I thought this place might be ideal.
I'm quite a noob in this, sorry in case this is a stupid question.
Is this bad for other components?

Don’t worry, the play in the rollers is as designed.
They are supposed to move my dude. If they weren’t moving – that’s when you would be having problems
There is supposed to be play in the rings but that looks quite a lot. Easiest way to know is to get yourself a chain tool and measure wear. You can also do it with a ruler or a caliper.
