I recently bought a second-hand road bike with tubeless tires. The tires were mounted using some kind of adhesive, but I’ve noticed that one of the tires deflates quickly, even after pumping it up. Upon closer inspection, it seems like the adhesive used to mount the tires to the rim is starting to come loose. Has anyone experienced this before? Could this be causing the air leakage? If so, what would be the best way to fix this issue?

Bad news, those aren’t tubeless, they’re tubular. Which means that there’s a tube sewn up inside the tire which is then glued onto the rim.
I’d recommend buying a different wheelset because riding with tubular tires is something only people with a team mechanic should be doing.
Not tubeless tires. Those are tubulars. Tires which is glued to the rim. Popular before, «no one» is using them anymore.

Keep them! You can buy tubular tires from https://worldclasscycles.com/ It’s easy to glue the tire and those wheels/hubs are very good! Plus run some sealent in the tubular and you’ll never get a flat!
I used Tufo tape riding in socal and AZ for years. In crazy hot temps. Loved it over using glue. When on in minutes and hit the road. You HAVE to use the extreme. No it did not rip the bed out of the rim. And no, a tire never when flying off. I was a skeptic but switch to tape after some serious racers put me on to it.
