Hi all,
This in my first time installing disc brakes.
I bought a pair of Avid BB7 mech brakes for my Surly krampus build.
For the front I went for a 203mm disc (Surly says it is compatible)
Bought a IS to Post 203mm adapter and installed the brake.
As you can see from the pic it seems like the brake pad is offset to the rotor: the pads seem to engage only a portion of the rotor and adjusting them is very hard.
On the back I went with a 180 and all seems fine. Can you tell ne what am i doing wrong please?
Thank you very much

The BB7 uses those domed washers (Avid/SRAM call the CPS) to make up for facing or alignment issues. Avid has adapters that assume the extra height of the washers is there, and I’d be inclined to use them in general with BB7s.
My first thought is that’s not the right adapter. Looking up Ashima adapters, the AU06, looks like this one, is for REAR 203. Front 203 doesn’t push caliper out as far. Front 203 = rear 180 if I remember correctly.
