Hi everyone,

I'm excited to dive into the world of gravel biking and am currently choosing my first gravel bike. Since this is my first one, I’m trying to keep the budget under $1000.

I'm a 5'11" male, and according to Giant's sizing guide, I should be looking at a size ML, which this bike is. I plan to use it for commuting to work (about 20 km each way), some weekend rides, and I’m also considering trying out some bikepacking soon.

The bike seems to be a good match in terms of size, but I’m wondering if it’s a solid choice for a first-time gravel rider. I’m also curious if the price point is reasonable for what I’m getting.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Could possibly be a good bike, but not at that price. I wouldn’t even bother making an offer because what I’d be willing to pay is less than half their asking price, so it would probably be a huge waste of time. Try to find a Giant Revolt or Giant Contend AR, if you can stretch your budget somewhat you should be able to grab one with entry level components brand new.
