These pins are ripping apart my shoes. Normally I'm using just nylon pedals like the Raceface Ride AM, but they weren't available in this neon yellow color, plus these were on sale, so I got these HT Nano. I took the pins out on one side now, but I'd like a more elegant permanent solution. Are there shorter screws with a round-ish end, that would be compatible? Most pins are screw-in, and the screw head is the gripping part of it. On these pedals, the shoes grip on top the screw's ends.
Bonus pic: a pigeon just came chilling under my crank while I was taking out the screws

you could round off the ends of all the screws and put them back in?
make sure to screw the nuts on before you grind away at the screws, that way they reset the threads when you take the nuts off after grinding.
You can just get the cheaper one piece nylon flat pedals that have the molded plastic pins in em
That pigeon seems full of energy: ask him to file the screws with its beak!
The “pins” are just small nuts and bolts. You can replace the bolts with shorter ones.
