Well, it's finally happened. After much searching I found a used bike in my meagre price range.
What have I actually bought? The 1×9 is apparently off a newer bike and I'm pretty sure the front axle upgrade is an addition too. Is this bike semi suitable for downhill for a beginner?
Are there any good guides that deal with maintaining the air shocks and hydraulic brakes? I come from a recreational motorbike riding background if that helps.
I'm 174cm – it feels a little cramped but workable with the seat up. I looked up the Giant dirt jumper frame size but nothing came up. But all the Giant frame charts I found listed the medium in my height range?
Are there any riding videos that would help an absolute level 1 beginner?
