I purchased challenge getaway clincher 700×36 tires online a while ago and just got around to mounting. They came folded as expected but pulling them out of the box they are absolutely flat as a pancake across the radius of the tire surface. I have never seen a tire like this. I cannot figure out how to mount them because they are so tight and flat there isn’t room for the tube to get into the rim gulley underneath the tire. What gives??

They are called challenge for a reason! Haha no but they are a handmade tire and you should be able to get one side on and put it in the middle channel and then put some air in the tube just to get its shape and then install the valve and insert the tube into the tire and use your thumbs and wiggle it on. Easier said than done. Good luck.
