Need help deciding between Trek’s Roscoe 7 vs 8, and new new or used.

Would be my first modern MTB as I want to really get into the sport so I don’t know if it’s better to go with a hardtail or a used full suspension.

I have a budget of about $1300. Not my first choice in color for the used 7s’ but I’ve only found one in my size online (not through Trek) with the color I really wanted (Miami green, even though it looks more like a turquoise). It’d also be more than a used, but it’s honoring the current sale price at $1399.99. One other new 7 local, but not the color (same sale price).

From reading comments on videos about the Roscoe 7 they say even though it’s cheaper the brakes, and front fork are meh. Also to stay away from the 6.
Going with the $900 used one would mean I would be even closer to getting those nice Fox front forks (they’re so damn expensive🫤), and already has some upgrades. No used Ros9 ’s anywhere in my area unfortunately.

There’s also a used older Remedy 8. Any input would be appreciated.
