Hey everyone,

I'm considering purchasing a 2021 Canyon Ultimate CF SL 8 with a large frame, but I don't have much information about its components. I’m new to biking, so I’m hoping to get some advice from those who are more experienced.

What are your thoughts on this model? Are there any specific issues I should watch out for? Also, what would be a reasonable price for this bike in good condition?

Thanks in advance for your help!

  1. It’s worth somewhere around 2000 USD. Ultegra mechanical shifters and hydraulic brakes.

  2. I would go to canyon website and see what sue they recommend. I’m a medium on Specialized but an XS on Canyon.

Looks like a sweet bike. The only stupid thing is the stem limits your handlebar options, I don’t know a lot about canyon stems.

  4. Its missing the warning label about extremely good looking people flocking to you in masses.

Integrated stem and handle bars. Make sure the cockpit fits you perfectly or it’s gonna be expensive and annoying changing it

Ask seller for Fotos if components, that way you can Tell it’s real. Kinda.

  7. A large Canyon will for closer to a 58 cm bike. I’m 5’ 11” and ride a 56 which looks like Canyon’s Medium.
Others have noted the integrated handlebar. The sizing is fixed on this and not cheap nor easy to swap out. A new stem and handlebar two piece set up would be most economical. Canyon used a larger 1 1/4 inch steer tube so be mindful if you need to get a different length stem.
Quality wise, the components are solid. I like the 11 Ultegra and their disc brakes myself

I have the 2018 version of this. Great bike, great value. I love mine and don’t have a single regret about buying it.

There should be a size calculator on the Canyon website, so you can use that to see what size you would need. I have a L, and I’m 6’1.5″
