













Such a beautiful route. In hindsight, I was lucky with the weather, though it didn’t feel like it at the time. I only got soaked on one day, though there was a headwind on much of the others. But some gorgeous sun too! I gave myself 7 days, planned for 5 and ended up taking 6 to recuperate from some sleeplessness and rain. I’m a slow rider anyway, kudos to those who do it as a long weekend, but I do think they massively underplay it on Cycling UK. Stops in: Fort Augustus, random side of gravel road above Ardverikie, Loch Rannoch, Killin, Aberfoyle. Note: there’s a route change around Rannoch to avoid a closed bridge that’s reflected on RWGPS and Komoot, but not on Cycling UK/OS maps.
