      Not sure about it been tougher league this year . You'll struggle to see a better team than Ipswich and they didn't run away . I think other fans think we'll miss the 4 out of contract players but I see it has a good thing . And we already have a stronger squad and a manager that already looks like he's improving a few . Last season was a tough watch with collins and looking forward to a bit of entertaining football this season. 4-0 barnsley . Well be up there end of season

      Agree attack is an issue, but the defence is our biggest weakness. We were better with Isted. You cannot lose a game if you do not conceed a goal. We just expect to conceed goal?

      Great show as always 😊 Top 6: 1st Birmingham 2nd Rotherham 3rd Bolton 4th Wrexham 5th Huddersfield 6th Charlton.
      Reds: 9th.
      It's ok having having players that can cross a ball, but I have no confidence in the strikers putting it in the net!

      No chance Lincoln for me not improved there side and will lose a few players … Wrexham and Peterborough be close and there’s always one dark horse

      Lisa's husband, Andy here. Good show guys I think it'll be 1-1 on Friday but Joe W. thinks it'll be a more exciting 3-3 score line. For promotion I think it will be Brum, Reds and the Merry Millers, Joe thinks the same but in the order of Millers, Brum then the Reds. Of course we could both be talking utter rubbish 👍

      Mansfield fan here. Excellent summary by Tracy. We play nice football and work hard. Whether our new signings have the necessary quality for L1, we'll see, but we beat Peterborough and Sheff Wed in the cup last season. No disrespect to Stockport and Wrexham, but I think their fans will say we were the best team in the division last season. Best defence and 2nd best attack. Only injuries at the end derailed our title push. We like to start the season well and were unbeaten until November last year.

      I'm hoping we get off to a great start although I do think it will not be a easy game against Mansfield.
      But I'm hoping our experience will shine through so I'm going for a 3-2 win

      It’s a really difficult league to predict league one this season, there are probably 10 clubs that could finish in any of the top 10 positions. My stab

      1. Rotherham

      2. Birmingham

      3. Bolton

      4. Huddersfield

      5. Barnsley

      6. Charlton

      I wouldn’t be surprised if Birmingham find the expectation too much. Wrexham, Wigan, Blackpool, Lincoln, maybe Reading, could all get in there. We do need to complete our squad sooner rather than later and it be effective to get in the play offs, if we can’t score the goals then we put the pressure on our defence, and we have seen that before and it doesn’t end well.

      Mansfield is a potentially tough start, a team coming in with momentum but to a higher level. I am looking for a clean sheet and hoping Watters wins it 1-0

      Great to see Red All Over back for the new season. Let's hope we get off to a great start tommorow night. I will be there supporting the super reds with my dad and along with the rest of us Barnsley FC fans / Supporters.

      It will be a great early birthday present for me as I'm 35 years old this Saturday 10th August 2024, so if we can manage to get the first home win and our first three points on the league table then that will be a great.

      Anyway my prediction is a 2-0 win to Barnsley.

      Great show again my top 6 are Birmingham Bolton Huddersfield Barnsley Peterborough Charlton in that order new keeper on verge of signing 2 strikers hopefully in a week or 2 think we will have a very good season I'm going for a 4-1 win

      It's great to have you all back for another season of ups and downs, twists and turns. We have a better starting point than last season but the season probably hinges on finding a striker that can score 15 plus goals and a goalkeeper better than we presently have in the squad. The other problem is that the league is stronger than last season. The big positives are that Connell is fully fit and will be our player of the season. Awesome that he's our new captain. Craig, Phillips and Hourihane make up a awesome midfield.
      My top 6
      Birmingham, Huddersfield, Charlton, Wigan, Lincoln and us. As Josh says it's going to be a season of fine margins, there's not a lot between the top 10.
      The first few games always see surprising results. The 7 nil win last season didn't give us a clue to what was going to unfold last season.
      We will find out when the team sheets come out if Keillor-Dunn is coming. He won't be playing if he's signing next week. I think we will start on a positive note with a 3 -1 win.

      Hi, my prediction for tonight's game is
      Barnsley 2 – Mansfield 1.
      It won't be easy,but I think the goals will come from set pieces.
      Top 6 teams in no particular order are:
      Birmingham, Huddersfield, Rotherham, Portsmouth, Charlton, Reading. I think Barnsley will do well to finish in the top half. This isn't a criticism of the club or anyone, it's a strong league this season and the team is in transition.
