  1. Looks like most of it is paint damage but there are a few big gouges deeper into the carbon itself and it looks like the tube shape has deformed where those gouges are. Kneejerk is this isn’t safe to ride, and I’d get it looked at by a professional, or replace it.

  2. That can be easily fixed by a competent carbon repair shop. I had a friend take his Pinarello frame to [Montenegro Mfg](https://www.montenegromfg.com/carbon-repair) for a cracked seat tube.

    Stronger than new at the break, can’t tell there was a repair. The finish was perfect.

    Yours didn’t even have a break, more of a gouge.

    If this is anything at speed and “slam’ness” this frame is fucking toast. And that damage makes me think it is.

    Wow it felt fine afterwards? Yea thats’ carbon until the millisecond it fails and you wake up in the ER with no front teeth.
