All of the FD installation videos I've seen show a much smaller gap between the FD and the chainring. This bike is a 2019 Emonda SL 6 which came with a 50/34 and I'm installing a 46/30 which I think as a result the large chainring is smaller and now the FD doesn't go as low. What's the best thing to do here? Can I get a bracket as shown in the second picture which has a slide that goes lower?

If you thread your chain probably, would chain hit FD on big-small? If it wouldn’t then it’s probably fine.
Ride a bit if there’s lots of chain drop to the outside then consider what alternatives you need. There are spacers to lower FD but can’t speak to their quality and/or effect on shifting performance.
Maybe I won’t be of any help but there are front derailleur adapters that could be connected to your seat tube. Maybe there is a chance to install it just bellow current integrated adapter and bellow the bottle holder bolt.

[This WickWerks adapter ](https://wickwerks.com/products/fit-link-adapter/) is made to lower braze-on derailleurs. I’ve used one on a customers bike, and it worked very well.
