Hi folks there’s a 2014 Caad 8 for sale locally with tiagra components for $420. Is this a good deal or should I spend $950 (shipping and tax included) for a new Caad Optimo 4 with Claris?
Is the brand new r2000 Claris going to be better than an older 4600 Tiagra?
Also at this price point, is it worth it to just buy a new bike instead of a 9 year old bike?
Thanks!

Buy the 2014 and save the 530 for your next bike.
Those are both great deals. 2014 Tiagra is a great group set, you really can’t go wrong with either that or the new Claris. The only difference is that the Optimo may be geared a bit easier if you don’t like hills. If the CAAD8 is in good shape and wear items like tires/cassette/chain don’t need replacement I’d probably save the money and go used.
