Annecy is known as the “Venice of the Alps.” 🏔️ These are the BEST THINGS to do in Annecy!
There’s so much to love about it! I drove here from Lyon, and saw some of the best views ever, including the Alps.
1️⃣ Lake Annecy
This lake is one of the cleanest in Europe, with sparkling, clear water. The views of the mountains are breathtaking and feel like you are in Switzerland.
2️⃣ Old Town (Vieille Ville)
It has cobblestone streets, colorful buildings, and quaint little shops. Just what I like!
3️⃣ Château d’Annecy
This old castle has a rich history and now houses a museum..
4️⃣ Thiou River
This tiny river winds through the town, creating beautiful canals. It’s often called the shortest river in France!
5️⃣ Annecy International Animated Film Festival
If you’re a fan of animation, this is a must-see event every June. It’s one of the biggest and most prestigious animation festivals in the world.
6️⃣ Cycling and Hiking
There are tons of trails for biking and hiking, with stunning views of the Alps and the lake.
7️⃣ Pont des Amours
This “Lovers’ Bridge” has some of the best views of the lake and mountains.
