Red Special — Trek 790

I hope Brian May is ok with me borrowing the name, or that he never finds out, this bike just shreds.

I bought this 790 on Craigslist a few years ago for $200 with the internal gear hub conversion already complete. The seller also included the original rear wheel and groupset. I couldn’t really believe my luck when I bought it…. I’ve since added the racks, baskets, Mondial tires, Mojave bottle cage, and the Brooks. This bike is my only bike rn. It’s the ideal commuter / urban cx bike and I love it. Carries tons of shit, is still pretty light… I went through some hard times a while ago and this bike had my back more than anything. When everything fell apart around me, the only trouble this bike ever gave me was a couple flats.

Yes, I know the chain is loose and I need to replace it asap 😅 got one sitting right here just need to find the executive function to throw it on
