my freehub body is toast. Parts are on order for a full replacement. with 2/4 pawls it works smoothly. I know this means reduced strength. is it really dumb to only ride with 2/4 pawls temporarily?
I’d do it and be gentle with the bike. There’s no way you would be applying more force on the remaining pawls than they can support. Are you just replacing the freehub, the hub, or the entire wheel?

I count 3 pawls? If you must, I’d put them across from each other. If you put power down, you might shear the pawls and be left stranded. I wouldn’t ride far from home

I’ve been using my Hope Pro4 with three out of four pawls for a while Romp it, holds up fine so far.
