Have you loosened the nut by turning it? It isn’t meant to release with just the lever (look up lawyer lips). I normally open the other, then hold the nut and spin 10 times. Remind the wheel and do what you need to. When you reinstall, put it in place, and rotate the lever 10 times again while holding the nut. It should be in about the correct spot to close the lever and tighten.
Yeah I did that , it’s went so far then won’t unwind or tighten anymore
