Well, sounds reasonable to me. It seems to be serviced right now, something a bike store here locally would charge 50-100. Take this into your calculation and 200 bucks are quite a good deal for this one, isn’t it?

  2. chains too long and tires are way too big for that bike. they make just about clear but its gonna make for some issues eventually. but overall price is good. its clean as hell and these old treks are way better bikes than literally anything new you could purchase for 500$ let alone 300$

fucking clean, there was a tiny gold period where trek 400’s had full campgy components, a bit earlier than this

That looks like maybe a 1989 in 50cm? I have had a few other Trek 400s and the ride quality of that year and size was one of my least favorite. I found the handling to be twitchy. Not sure if that model was made in Wisconsin. Take it for a ride to see if you like it. I think it is priced a bit high. I’ve found Treks for a lot less but they are getting harder to find.

  6. I think I remember this bike shop. That A/C vent looks familiar. Is it WashCo near the 5 freeway? Bought a Giant OCR C-Zero there several years back lol. It was my first all carbon frame bike. Good folks. Upgraded the cranks to FSA carbon cranks for only $80.
