Bought the frame to years ago with the dent already in place. I have ridden maybe 500km with the frame and nothing happened. I am in the process of the rebuilding the bike and wanted to ask if the frame is fine.

Not worth it, I wouldn’t ride it.
While I would never recommend riding a frame with any sort of significant frame damage, this is on the tube that supports the weight of the rider over the rear wheel and the dent is in a prime place to give way. I would be scrapping it asap.
