I am brand new to mountain biking. I have dirt trails around me that I plan on riding. I would like to keep my purchase of a new rear shock around $200 USD. I am hoping that is bike will work for me once I fix the rear shock. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Honestly take it to your local bike shop (make sure it’s one that has good quality mountain bikes) and ask them. There are so many specs etc to be aware of and this isn’t really a beginner job.

I’d guess it’s a 2016 bike. Quick look suggests it’s a pull shock, not sure on specs though. Seems like lots of those bikes came with a Fox DYAD RT2 shock.

I would recommend going to a Cannondale dealer that has been a dealer for a long time. This is not a normal shock setup. It is a pull shock system because Cannondale is strange and does weird stuff.
