Went to a shop the other day and got bar tape for my risers. One of the clerks was kind of confused like a “umm can you even do that” look. I was like, “Son I’ve been doing this twenty five years.”
I didn’t actually say that but honest to God fuck grips.

There was a time, when I only used to use the basic chunky grips for years. Then once I got recommended the Animal grips while I was in a bike shop that focused mainly on BMX. And ever since then I took grips very seriously lol.

My favorites so far are Yoshida Champgrips. They seem to become a bit harder with skin oils and whatnot, which is nice I think. A pain to get them in Europe though

I’ve been riding Deathgrips for years on mtb and never have they looked this thrashed.

This reminds me that my bike needs new tape, the Cinelli Gel Cork didn’t last worth a fuck in sweaty and damp conditions

I’ve had these bad boys for about 25 years started on a BMX bike and ended up on my fix gear They’re so soft and supple I don’t wanna get rid of them!
