Pretty sure someone stole this bike from a tourer. help me find it’s owner? It’s in Buenos Aires. I saw it posted for almost nothing on Marketplace. now they’re trying to resell it at a shady bike shop. It’s a VSF FAHRRAD MANUFAKTUR with a rohloff hub, a SON hub and some kind of folding handlebars

Upvoting hoping for visibility. That’s devastating.
I like to think some people do the Alaska to argentina ride, move on with their life and leave the bikes behind instead of taking all the gear home to the next adventure
But In reality.. it probably is stolen.
Or, you know, it’s just an old bike
People are often resorting to nearly or actually giving their bikes away in the South America touring WhatsApp group.
Like they planned to just arrive in Patagonia and sell a bike to who exactly for $1000?
