I have an annual trip I make to do a ride that is 100 miles and just a hair shy of 11k' of climbing (9 categorized climbs). This ride was only my 3rd ride on this bike. The first being ~60 miles the day I got it (7/30/24) and the second ride being a loop in this are we did the day before the big ride. That one was only 28 miles and ~1600'.
Well, this bike is quite comfortable. I'd say more so than my 2018 Aeroad, but it could just be in my head. I measured and if I'm correct, the saddle to handlebar drop is slightly more on the new bike ( like 5-10mm, and this is with all of the spacers), but I feel like I'm more relaxed.
Having disc brakes is a game changer, and I can't believe I waited this long. I ripped down the descents Saturday and it was so nice being able to brake later and faster.
Bonus point – I ordered an 11-36 cassette and it went on zero issue. Didn't even need to touch the B-screw.
Now, the motor is still garbage, but that's not the bikes fault. I was only 7 minutes off my moving time from last year, but this year we had rain again around mile 70 and there is a long descent after that, so possibly could've made up some time if we weren't soaking wet for the last 2+ hours and 3 climbs.
Can't wait to get more saddle time in!

11000 meters of climbing? That’s a lot
