I’ve had my eye on this late 80’s bike. The owners says it’s a 22 inch frame. I know mountain bikes do not come as larger as road bikes and my normal road bike size 61+cm. I know there are a lot of variables what it comes to bikes fitting but should I even bother with a 22 inch frame?

It *should* fit. I’m 6’1” and I can tell it’s too big for me.

Yeah 21-23” frames are what you’re looking for. I have a 21” and I’m close to your height. 23 would be preferred but it’s just a riser stem and more post.
That frame makes those 26″ wheels look tiny! The wheel hubs and bottom bracket are pretty much the same height off the ground I bet that thing feels crazy to ride…
