’92 Diamondback Ascent EX

I found this bike at a local thrift store for $35 after the discount of 40% they were running that day.

Full Deore LX group set and all original. I replaced the tires, grips, pedals and added the stubby bar ends. I put the Brooks C17 from another bike on it and rolled.

I gave it a good clean, lube and adjustment and did a a full day of riding on it with no issues. I'm lucky to live in an area with a lot of snow birds that clean out their garage/storage during transitional months and have found several gems like this for similar prices.

I may get around to repacking bearings at some point but am really enjoying it too much to mess with it and I suppose if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Hope everyone had a great weekend.
