I just did a 3-day trip with this setup. The handlebar bag was made by a friend and it works well to hold my entire hammock sleep system, but it leans heavily into the headtube. I was able to protect the frame with tape, but it literally ate into my fork’s crown.

Is there a better front bag option that doesn’t damage your bike or is that sort of what happens with a bunch of bags rattling all over the place day after day on a trail?

The bag has a lot of volume. Maybe too much?

some manufacturers use foam spacers to keep the bag from hitting the frame. you can also use a voile strap or something similar to pull your load up and closer to the handlebar.
