Just get a new lever: the BL-MT200 should be no more than 10 bucks excl. shipping (at least where I live). Make sure to get the left side lever when ordering. Installation is fairly simple. There are vids on YT showing U how to fix this. Watch one or two of them and U should be all ready to go.

There are probably some metal shavings in the line as well. I would replace the brake line and fluid to avoid damaging the calipers.
