Third theft attempt (that I know about) on this lock in 20 years and it has survived all 3.

This was left at my train station (like always) and some genius jammed a screwdriver into the keyway and snapped it off, as well as splitting the plastic off of the shank.

20 years ago I had a job where I had to do wholesale removal of bikes, this ABUS lock was the one lock that shattered the jaws of our bolt croppers, and took an age to cut with a disc, and you had to do both sides because the shackle is so tough it won’t twist or bend when you’ve done one side. So I bought one. It has been through hell and come out of the other side, and still works perfectly now I’ve removed the screwdriver that was jammed in it.

This is some serious branding on ABUS, 20yo lock still functional and worthy to have after seeing this would actually like seeing locks from that era compared to newer ones
