


Hey y’all, I’ve been a bike commuter for over two years now and am just about ready to switch over to my first fixie (only have a chain left to put on). Someone dumped a stolen, badly painted, Golden Cycles bike in my works’ alley. Since it was in shit condition, I thought it was a perfect time to try to learn how to build a bike. I was definitely trying to be on a budget, and reused many parts (listed below).
I guess I’m posting because I’m excited and am curious if there isn’t anything I can change to make the bike better/more fun. I’m not mechanically inclined so I’ll definitely take any advice.
Parts reused:
– front brake and lever
– tires
– rims
– cog
– full crank system
– seat post
