Need help deciding what bike is best, looking for a cheap but good bike.
would call me beginner biker, have had a bike but not the advanced rider, only casual. Want a bike for casual riding but also the possibility to take a ride in the woods. Marlin cost 500 usd used and the Roscoe is 800.

Depends on where/how you’re riding.
If you’re casually riding paved/gravel paths with some light trail use, the Marlin will be just fine. If you’re doing more trail riding with technical features the Roscoe will be the better choice. If you’re not sure, but you like the idea of more aggressive or technical riding I’d still get the Roscoe.
