My sons forks snapped like this on small bump it’s a mafia jump bike, do you think this is a fault as it’s only 6 months old…
I do know it’s made a right mess off him when it happened and he’s very lucky not to be seriously hurt

A fork doesn’t break like that on a “small bump”. What kind of jumps does he take that off?

This looks more like catastrophic crash damage than a production fault. Ask him what he was really doing with the bike.

Was the fork assembled in the direction it’s shown in the first picture? Couldn’t really tell by looking at the break points. Anyway, the metal part that goes around and over the tire should be in front. Saw someone post a bike recently with their whole wheel and fork backwards and they had no idea. It’s less than optimal.
I don’t know much about suspension forks, but I do know that £109 is cheaper than what many riders would be comfortable with.
Superficially, it looks very much like the RockShox XC fork that I had like ten years ago. It’s just a little bit heavier and only 25 % of the price. So what’s the catch?

That should not have happened, cased/crashed landing or not.
It’s a cheap fork but that failure indicates the fork is unlikely to comply with ISO 4210 and probably isn’t safe to be sold on a bike, especially a dirt jumper.
Contact the dealer you bought it from and get them to raise a warranty claim. I’d also separately flag the issue with the consumer goods agency responsible for safety (for example in the US that would be the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)).
From what I can see the landing has been nose heavy with a slight off camber landing, putting the tyre down square to the ground. The fork should have compressed and dampened most of the impact (worse case bucking the rider in the rebound). But instead has sheared clean off as that fork is not fit for purpose.
