







Picked this bike up for 25€, components were rusty but looked good enough to take a chance that the frame would be fine with nothing too stuck and not too much rust. I was told it was mostly stored in a basement.
When I saw the pictures, it looked like it was completely white, but it turned out the paint is only on one side. It looks like it’s a painted 1993 electric plum, and someone just bought stickers to put on after? Am I right in thinking this? If so, then would it be possible to only remove the white paint? Given the state that I had found it, the condition is actually pretty good.

Damn, previous owner left it leaning up against the sun for at an entire decade.
I think the sticker theory is correct.
It’s a 1993.
It was always the plum color but like the other poster said one side is crazy faded.
That’s pretty normal for the vibrant colors of this era trek. For whatever reason they were prone to fading in the sun.
I bought the same exact frame with the same fading.
I love that color combination.
