  1. I’m about the same size. 5’10”, with roughly 34-35 inch (can’t remember) inseam. I have an Endurance in medium and I love the fit. I will add, however, that I am a bit older of a rider, late 50’s, but also still really flexible. (In a different life, I was a collegiate hurdler.)

177 & 81,5. The S suits me but I feel my saddle is high already. With your inseam, an M with a reduced reach (through shorter stem) might have worked.

  3. I’m the exact same height as you with in inseam about 3cm shorter. My bike fitter recommended the small and I couldn’t happier with the choice. I had my first fit with him about 2 months after I bought there bike and there really wasn’t much he wanted to change and noted how well it fit me.

Hello. I’m 175.5 with 83,4 inseam. I got the Endurace Alu size S and I am happy with it but I could’ve gone with the M as well. I also got a Specialized Romin saddle and have no discomfort on the bike. The original saddle is horrific but on my mtb it’s actually really good.

To be honest, from the image, that seat height looks gigantic. You’re probably a little too high up in my opinion. I did my own bike fit at home using the Ergon kit and so far my longest ride on this bike was around 70km with 0 pain and I could do with our without a bib short, that’s how comfortable I am. Mind that I have very large sit bones and I weight quite a lot (93kg) so my Romin is 168mm.

This is my bike, look at the saddle height, my bar is slammed cause I like to be a little more aero when I go out alone for workouts, but If I raise it I also have to adjust the saddle tile very slightly to not have a ton of weight on my arms.

I also use flat pedals because I use this bike to get around as well.

Again, to me it looks like you’re way higher up than you should be.

  5. It is really difficult to infer what is actually wrong by just saying something is wrong…
Do you feel your back is bent too much? or do you have hand numb? Or maybe your leg is hitting your chest when on dropped position? Let us know more…

  6. Your seat is very high, which is probably fine for you but it looks a bit as if the bike is too small for you. From that alone, the M size might be better. However, your stem is pointing up and your levers are very high. It’s a bit of a strange fit. Can’t say just by looking at the photo, but maybe a lower seat and a flipped stem plus lowered levers would be better.

  7. M with shorter stems may work but also fine with S if you like aero positions imo.

I am 5, 10 ” , I bought a medium , fits me great , Very comfortable to ride and fast . The website told me to get a Small, but I decided to go M , I know bikers are riding smaller bikes now , this one fits me well.

I think with any bike you run the risk of it not being perfect unless you are lucky or get a custom made bike.

I have two Ultimate CF SL’s from 2015 and 2016 still going strong. I first bought an M going against Canyon’s advice ( I’m 175.5 with an 83cm inside Leg) and always felt I was slightly over reaching, even after tilting the saddle forward a bit, dropping it a touch (but not tooucbao that my leg extension is compromised) and even tilting the bars back a touch.

I then bought an S a year later and it’s been absolutely perfect.

As such, I have literally just taken delivery of an Aeroad CFR and purchased the S because Canyon said so.

And this is what would form the basis of my discussion with them if I find the bike to be really wrong for me.

Because Canyon said I should get the S based on my measurements.

I haven’t had chance to build it yet as been working and go away for a week on Saturday… Hopefully tomorrow but probably won’t be able to ride until I’m back 😩

  10. You have the saddle almost all forward, and you can replace the stem with a longer, higher one. You can easily and cheaply recreate a size M.
