My Stamp 7 do this as well. I’ve purchased a rebuild kit, and it seems to fix it for a bit. Ive also just taken it apart, greased everything up and put it back together without the rebuild kit which worked just as well. If you get dirt in there or have the compression bearing move, this can happen without destroying the internals. Not sure how much I like the idea of no actual bearings in pedals anymore.

  2. Wow, ironically enough, I have the same issue. Was going to do the rebuild kit but for whatever reason, the two inner screws will not fit any of my metric/standard allen keys. All it does it round out the bolt. I have been at a loss for words as to why I can’t get any size allen key to fit snug. I think I am going to ride mine out and switch over to DMR aluminum pedals. Loved my Stamps but won’t be shelling out another $100+ for this issue with only 100 miles, if that on them.

Throw those in the trash and go buy yourself some DMR V12s. You’ll never buy another pedal again.

You made need a new car to fix that. I’m no mechanic, but new car seems to be right.

Yeah there’s a bushing right where all the play is coming from that’s worn. Replace that bushing. The bearing on the outside of the axel is probably fine but that might want replacing also.

  6. For the price, I’m really not a fan of these pedals. To keep them thin, they skipped bearings and just used spindle bushings. These tend to wear fast and creak compared to the chunkier Stamp 2 and 3’s with bearings. You can rebuild them, but you need to clean and regrease them often between the full rebuilds.
