I got my new Roadlite:on 5 today and was a bit surprised when it didn’t have the Deore parts advertised, but Cues instead. Is this system equal in terms of quality? Should I be happy or sad it got changed?

Yeah they have a caveat somewhere about components being subject to change per availability. Might be worth a phone call to discuss.
Deore 11 speed doesn’t exist anymore. Shimano is rolling all its “lower” end of the spectrum group sets into Cues. Basically if it isn’t 12 speed SLX, ST, or XTR its now Cues. CUES also uses the new Linkglide (by hyperglide) tooth profile ont eh cassettes which is supposed to last longer and shift better. (It’s on the higher end 12 speed shimano stuff already)
