Hey everyone so I rethought my question, I’m looking for a bike to buy to build up for a clean build. I know looks are fully opinionated but looking for what complete bikes people have started with. I’m looking for something under a grand, that has internal cables? Not to worry about the current setup. I’d rather build up my self I think. I’m not looking for performance or anything more comfort/looks. I saw Scott speedster 50, which I really like the look of that but don’t know if it’s worth the price? Any opinions would be awesome!

Usually if my budget is under $1000 I would look on second hand sites like craigslist, facebook marketplace, kijiji etc,
