If all else is equal, #1 is less stabby.
I have no idea which profile is best, but I love your design!
I think design one would wear better over time? Design two looks more like a spiky worn chainring. Although design one looks kinda like a road chainring. Maybe something in between the two?
Assuming the chain clears both teeth equally well, design 1 looks like it may handle an accidental bash a bit better
