There's a few random pictures of my bike here, but you can see that the place that the frame lock (cafe lock) would go, just under the seatstays (the "I Lock It" Pro smart lock) is actually quite a small space on my Trek Marlin 7.
Now, there are no mounting holes on my frame.
I am aware that you can use installation rubber straps, however, they would add some considerable height/depth to the thing, making that space on my bicycle even smaller than it is, and therefore I really don't think it would physically fit.
The only way I can see it fitting, just about, is with using mounting holes, and so the only solution is that I would have to do it myself.
Unless I am missing something more obvious.
Just curious what you guys thought or if you had any advice.
EDIT:
I could attach the frame lock to the topside (instead of the underside) of the seatstays if it wasn't for those two support bars for the pannier rack. They get in the way.
I wonder if there is some creative way around those somehow?

I just want confirm, this is not my only lock. I already use a Hiplok diamond rated U-lock with a cable for my tires and seat, but this I Lock It Pro frame lock (cafe lock) will be used as an additional deterrent. It also has a built in alarm and GPS tracking in case my bike is stolen, and it will immediately send notifications to my phone if it is not in direct sight of me, so it has a lot of extra benefits.

I thought I would answer here in the post.
The I Lock It Pro frame lock (aka cafe lock) would go on the underside of the two seatstays near the top, so that is where I would drill.
You have an absolute ton of storage space on your bike. Get a U lock. Add a chain and or a flex cable to increase security. The type of lock you’re talking about is easier to cut through than a u lock, and provides less security than a u lock + flexible cable combo.
Locks either deter opportunistic crime or increase the amount of time it takes to steal a bike. If you just want a lock to stop your bike from being stolen while you pop into a shop for coffee, a Ulock or even one of those folding jobs are much more versatile because you can actually lock your bike TO something. If you want a lock that will guard your bike overnight, you need something WAY better than those shitty little stay mounted ring locks.
