Mauricio Moreira, 29-year-old Uruguayan cyclist, was until yesterday a great unknown to many, despite having won the Volta Portugal 2022. However, his collapse in the middle of a stage of the Volta Portugal 2024 emulating the legendary doped Jesus Manzano makes us wonder if cycling has really changed, or if in Portugal there is still the same doping orchard as always. This is the story of Mauricio Moreira, from his beginnings under the arms of his father Federico Moreira to his collapse in the middle of the competition.
Correction : Mauricio Moreira already raced as a stageaire for Caja Rural during the 2017 campaign, winning small-town races like the Vuelta Segovia (hence the photo with Probenecid Delgado) or the Vuelta Zamora.

If you're willing to look into the medical impact of doping, why not look into the medical impact of those vaccines from a few years back? Myocarditis might be a factor, other heart issues, a host of other serious problems. Those "waxcines" have taken down many soccer players as well.
