Leaving Prospect park south tonight, I had the right away and didn’t see him speed through the left turn until the last second.
AirPod was 10 feet behind me, shoe and bike were 10 feet in front of me, bike light somewhere to my left. Feel fine, but this bruise is looking gnarly on my bald ass head.

When I was like 11, I got hit by a car riding my bike and landed on the road on my head and skidded for a bit on my shoulders. Helmet was smashed in 2 pieces, but all I had was a little road rash. The helmet definitely saved my life.

Glad you are ok. Never assume the right away especially with so many jackass entitled drivers on the road.
I had a similar near fatal close call when a car went straight from the left turn lane and side swiped me. My head bounced off his bumper. thankfully I fell away from the car and not into it, if I had my head would have gone under the wheel. I walked away with a nasty bruise on my hip and a headache but somehow no concussion. I’ve worn a helmet every ride since.
Glad to hear you’re doing fine and had the same luck I did. To the non helmet wears amongst us i get it, they aren’t a vibe and don’t always look cool. But please don’t learn the lesson the hard way. it’s not worth it. y’all are too rad to go down that way.

Might want to get checked out real quick man. Even seemingly minor head injuries can go wrong quick. Feel better!
