I bought this bike used and has the most uncomfortable seat and I want to replace it but when I looked on the bottom of it, it looks as though the seat is designed specifically for the seat post. I haven't ridden since early 2000's, are all seats now like this or is this unique to this specific seat? Any recommendations on a comfortable seat?

It’s a system that replaces the rails with that round toothed bracket. They work well.
Also, why are you sitting on a BMX bike? That’s not what it’s for
Pivotal seats are attached by a hidden 6mm allen bolt in that slot that says Pivotal so you’re not stuck with that seat.
They’re not quite as sofa-like as some of those mid-90’s to early-2000’s railed seats but you can get fat Pivotal seats. To be honest they’re all similar enough that you can just search “fat pivotal seat” on any online BMX shop and just pick whichever one you like the look of most.
