I did my first bikepacking tour: Antwerpen -> Noordkaap in The Netherlands.

What a ride!

I rode about 600km starting in Antwerp and finishing at the Noordkaap statue at the most northern point of The Netherlands.

I’ve been a long time lurker on this sub and after reading all the great stories from all of you fellow bikepackers I decided to make my own solo trip.

As most people on this sub say: you have to make your own journey and do the tour how you like it yourself. I did a combination of sleeping at campings, bnb’s and one time i slept in a nice hotel. I made my own food but also ate at restaurants when i felt like it.

As for my first experience doing a bike tour alone: I can say that sometimes in can be difficult and maybe a bit lonely at times. But after all, now being on my way back home by train I’m already thinking about planning my next trip.

My gear:
•ortlieb panniers were great
•forclaz 900m tent was great and light but there was a lot of inside condensation which was annoying to let dry in the morning.

My bike:
Koga Colmaro Extreme. It was my first long ride with this bike and I loved it.
