After swapping drops and drifters from my old gravel bike to this bike I've simply realized that I'm not a fan of drop bars. I just enjoy being in flats although having extra hand positions is lovely!
When doing longer rides I'll mostly just grab the bars down by where the stem clamps the bars, almost like a tucked position, in order to get some relief from the same hand position.
I'm well aware there are lots of different alt bars out there that are basically the same thing as this setup eg surly moloko bars. Although the thing I like about this idea is the option to shift the angle and width between the two, much like aero bars.
Anywho, rambling over and I'm curious if anybody has a similar setup and if they truly enjoy it after putting some miles/big rides down.

Yes I love mine. I use inner bar ends and ergon gp3s for the ends. I like the extra hand positions for gravel rides and touring.
Yup, I put some spirgrips on very close together. It makes me believe I’m more aerodynamic when I use them.
I put them just inside the grips to allow a different hand position
Sure, it takes a minute to ride out to anywhere that requires a control grip on the bars for me, this speeds that up.
I like to imagine mine shoot lasers as well.
Yup, I have them on my Richey kyote bars, with bar end shifters in the ends of the bar end grips. I have them spaced shoulder width apart for ultimate comfort.

Yeah, gives a position very similar to drop bar hoods. I actually have never thought putting them on the end of the barsade sense
I’ve thought about setups like this for my “groad” winter bike. Makes sense to me. I’ve seen it on others’ bikes for similar practicalities, and I can’t knock it. On a separate note, I’m absolutely green with envy over your Seven
Yeah dude. We all do. That’s pretty much what they are for at this point in time .we may look to the 90s for style inspiration, but will not repeat history too closely.

Yes, I’m never going to set up another flat bar bike without inner bar ends. They just make the bike more comfortable and versatile without any real drawbacks. Unless you need extra room on the bars to mount your kitchen sink next to your lights and bike computer, of course

“inner bar ends” sort of an oxymoron but, hey, it works. I laughed when someone else said “bar ins” but I don’t think anyone would know wtf I was talking about that if I said that without added context. SQ Labs actually markets them as inner bar ends but I prefer something longer than what they offer. Standard approach for me is some cheap bar ends inside my grips and wrap that portion of the bars.. then install some Ergons on the end.
