Absolutely gutted I dropped a chain barely pedaled a quarter turn on an uphill and it ripped the plate off and did this to the frame. I haven’t had the bike 6 months…just submitted a warranty claim. Just wondering if you guys think this is something they’ll cover?

sorry for the state of your bike.
out of curiosity for a beginner cyclist, how does that happen? does the chain hitting the frame can damage it so brutally?
Warranties typically cover defects in material and manufacturing. This is the result of an accident. They’ll most likely offer you a crash replacement frame that you’ll have to pay for yourself.
A chain dropping and causing this much damage is unlucky, but not really something that can be blamed on Canyon.
Also, what’s going on with your big chainring? Is this just a weird perspective or are the teeth really that short?
that outer chainring looks so worn mate, it’s probably why you dropped the chain. is this a used bike that you’ve had for six months or have you not changed your chain at all?
How can you flatten the outer chainring in 6 month?
