Hey, last month I was in a bike shop with for an inspection (i had loose headset).
Yesterday my bike fell down a little on the side and I thought that the headset is a little bit loose again, so I wanted to tighten it.
When I unscrew the top cap I saw that the plastic wrap band is “somehow broken” see https://imgur.com/a/nyN1LU6. Do you think it needs a new top cap?
Also I still cant manage to tighten the headset as they did in the bike shop (even when starting from the top…) any ideas?

What bike is this? I don’t think the plastic matters for the fiction, but is there to add some resistance when tightening the cap screw.
Can you take a picture of where the stem connects to the fork?
Ok thanks. Have you also loosened the bolt under the spacers when tightening?
